Puppy Selection Process
Selecting a puppy is one of the most exciting steps in the journey to adding a new family member. At Aspen Doodles, we want to ensure that every puppy is matched to the right home, based on temperament, aptitude and family lifestyle.
Step 1: Get on our Waitlist
Complete the Puppy Application and pay the non refundable deposit of $500 to get on the waitlist.
Step 2: Get to know puppies
When Puppies are born, a second deposit of $1000 is due to stay on the waitlist. We post photos and videos of all puppies in every litter. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to get to know your future pup.

Step 3: Sharing Temperament and Aptitude Results
Between days 49 and 52, we perform an in-depth temperament testing and aptitude assessment on each puppy. This timing provides the most accurate picture of each puppy’s personality. We create detailed puppy profiles outlining each pup’s test results. These profiles are emailed to every family on the waitlist so you can review all of them ahead of selection day.
Step 4: Puppy Selection Appointment
Families are contacted in the order of the waitlist, first come first served, based on the the order the deposit was paid in full. We will schedule a time for you to either visit in person or online via video to make your selection. Our goal is to match puppies and families in a way that sets everyone up for success and we are happy to consult with you during the selection process. The third non refundable deposit of $1,000 is due on puppy selection day.

Step 5: Puppy Go Home Day
At 7.5 weeks, all puppies will receive their first veterinary health check and initial vaccinations. Puppy Go Home Day takes place the week your puppy turns 8 weeks old. You must return a signed Purchase Agreement and the balance of $500. Puppies can go home immediately after full payment and signed purchase agreement. We do not keep puppies beyond 8 weeks, as it is in their best interest to begin bonding, training and settling into their forever homes at this development stage.
